Section Description

Intern in Arts & Sciences is an online course designed to complement your summer internship experience. This course is for students who are already or will be committed to an internship during the summer. The goals of this course are to help students foster personal reflection as well as professional growth and development; develop transferable professional skills; integrate knowledge derived from academic studies with the experience gained from real-world work settings; explore and clarify possible career directions.

Section Expectation

Assignments will be completed each week on Blackboard. Grading is on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory scale (S/U) and will be based on weekly journals, supervisor and self-evaluations, and two papers.

Evaluation

Journals: 25%; Informational Interview: 15%; Industry/Sector Report: 20%; Resume: 5%; Academic Connection Paper: 15%; Evaluations: 20%
