Lectures or readings on contemporary issues in Community Development and Applied Economics. Enrollment may be more than once, up to twelve hours.


Winter Session On Campus Course; 1/7 - 1/10/14; Jr, Sr & Gr Students only; Prereq: Any STAT, MATH and/or ECON; Open to both CE and Degree students; Pre-course reading and assignments will be sent to students starting on TBA. Students are expected to read assigned materials and complete pre-course assignments. Each reading material and pre-course assignment will have a clear deadline for students to complete and submit to the Instr. by the due date via email. The pre-course materials will help students to review information with respect to variety of data collection and analysis, which will facilitate our week-long working progress. Each student will identify a research topic during the pre-course preparation period, & begin conducting literature review and data collection for the final project. More details will be shared w/stdnts starting on TBA This course may or may not fulfill degree requirements for UVM students. Section Description

This is an intensive EXCEL trining course to help students learn about data management and analysis. Topics coverd in this course include forecasting, economic, statistics, and finance. Skills learned from this course can be applied in workplace such as registration management, inventory management, pricing, cost evaluation, personal/enterprise financial management, survey data analysis, etc.
