Project Overview
Earth Inc., A Shareholder's Report will summarize the Gund Institute's research in a format similar to that of a major corporation's annual report. Using the economic values that Institute researchers assigned to various environmental resources, the Report will present an "income statement" and "balance sheet" analysis of global environmental issues. Data and evaluation methods will be included throughout the Report, which the Institute hopes will encourage a lively and active public debate. Readers will gain insights into the degeneration or improvement of the global environment on an ongoing basis.
The release of Earth Inc., A Shareholder's Report presents a unique sponsorship opportunity for any business or organization with a significant interest or stake in the environmental debate. The Report will be created with the same design quality and aesthetics as a major corporation's annual report.
Earth Inc., A Shareholder's Report will include:
- colorful maps
- charts
- graphs
- visuals including photo stills and icons
- evaluative essays that interpret the data
Earth Inc., A Shareholder's Report will be designed to clearly communicate summaries of large volumes of data and to concisely support conclusions drawn from the research.
The Report itself will be presented in an "ecologically friendly" format, both in terms of look and feel as well as being produced using recycled materials and environmentally friendly dyes.
The Report is expected to consist of 70 to 100 bound pages.
