We would like to help to position your company as a thought leader
in the environmental arena, by being associated with Earth, Inc.,
A Shareholders' Report.
Earth Inc. will become the standard at-a-glance desk-reference
for environmental, social, built, and human capital on a global scale.
Ideally, the report will be updated annually.
Sponsorship and support for The Report will take your company name,
conceivably, into many high school science and social studies classroom,
many college international relations course, and be the standard desk
reference for every corporation, think tank, and non-governmental organization
(NGO) that is focused on natural resource or international policy issues.
Being a sponsoring partner in Earth Inc. presents
a unique and powerful opportunity to reach and influence world leaders
and policy makers, senior corporate executives, non-governmental organizations
and ecologically engaged individuals and consumers.
A Significant Public Relations Opportunity
It is the intent of the Gund Institute to introduce Earth Inc.,
A Shareholder's Report at the UN in May 2004, simultaneous with
the World Economic Summit. By launching the distribution of Earth
Inc. in this highly publicized forum, we will take advantage
of the international press corps that will be covering the event.
This coverage would leverage positive press for your corporation and for your relationship with the Institute, both within the environmentally active community and with the public at large. We would also seek to engage the media in enlarging awareness for the Report and its significance. In underwriting this Report, your company would remain the sole primary corporate sponsor and would receive due acknowledgement.
We would work jointly with your Public Relations and Marketing groups to expand the reach of the content as widely as possible, including media placements, specials, documentaries, commercials, etc. In our view, the real value in this sponsorship is the leverage it gives the sponsor as a leader in encouraging new ways of thinking about humankind's place in the environment. We view the Gund Institute's approach as a model for the future in evaluating the impact of day-to-day human activities on the environment. By assigning a real value to natural resources and analyzing the role we play as active participants within an environmental economy, the Institute offers a bridge between the interests of the environmental lobby and the lexicon of business.
The Gund Institute is seeking sponsorship to fund Earth Inc.,
A Shareholder's Report. This will fund the balance of the research
required to complete the report, as well as the cost of design, printing,
distribution, conference presence and other related marketing and public
relations activities.
We thank you for taking the time to review this information. It would
be a pleasure to further discuss opportunities with you.
